Champions

North Huntington Beach F.C. over the years has produced three National Champions. The National Championship is decided each year through State, Regional, and National competition. The following three teams listed below are NHBFC's finest.

1996 Girls U-19

This team was a team that had a dream and a destiny to fulfill. After winning six State National Cup Championships, 3 National Regional Championships, 1 National Cup runnerup, their dream and destiny came to be in 1996 when they went on to win the J. Ross Stewart Cup and were crowned National Champions. Their coaches Jan Engesser and George Mitton were proud to be associated with such a fine group of young ladies.

1992 Boys U-16

George Mitton the coach of this team stated that with the help of Steve Saneff, recruited some of the finest players in the state. George said he had been in five other state finals and lost but felt this team was meant to win it all. The players proved him right as they went on to be the first team from Southern California to win the prestigious DJ Niotis Cup. Many of these fine players went on to play at some of the top colleges in the country.

1991 Boys U-19

This was NHBFC's proudest moment in it's quest to win it's first National Championship. This group of young men were put together by Coach Roger Wyett in early 1990 and then molded into a team that could not be stopped from winning the James P. Mcguire Cup. These young men will never be forgotten in the archives of NHB because they put our club on the map as a national power. Most of the young men are still playing today in the professional leagues in the United States or abroad.
