NHB Futbol- North Huntington Beach Futbol Club

NHB hosted our annual NCAA College Recruiting Presentation Wednesday, May 12th with about 80 NHB and Huntington Beach High School athletes and parents in attendance.  The informative session talked about the college recruiting process; what really happens and how it works.  Myths about college recruiting plus tips on how to maximize your chances of getting into the "realistic" colleges of your choice were given.

Our own NHB coaches, Francisco Flores, Chris Sullivan, David Sias, Brent Whitfield, David Thomas, Erin Reinke, Cameron Beaulac, Craig Bradford, and special guest, Ben Cesar, former olympic athlete and UCI track coach joined in by speaking about their collegiate experience and offered advice to student athletes.

The strong theme running through the advice and thoughts from all of the coaches was learning to manage your time well and focusing on academics in high school to not only prepare for college, but to be successful in college.

Thank you to all our coaches who gave of their time in sharing their experiences with players and parents.  Players, remember that the coaches are there as a resource for you.  Don't be afraid of talking to them and asking for advice and guidance.
