Congratulations to Leigha Williams (and her parents Cheryl and Dana) on her fantastic soccer career at Hope International University.

Saturday was Hope International's final regular season game with Leigha scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Menlo.

Hope International held it's Senior Day presentation before the game, celebrating the soccer contributions of it's senior players.

Here is what Hope University had to say about NHB Alumni Leigha Williams:

Leigha Williams came to Hope International as a Freshman from Fountain Valley High School.  She has appeared in  76 matches for HUI over four years.  Williams has scored 33 goals for HIU and set up 27 assists.  Out of 265 career shots, 146 were on target.  In four years, she averaged 3.5 shots per game.  Williams also earned All-Conference and NAIA All-American honors as well as serving as Team Captain of the Royals.

From HUI Coach Sanger: "Leigha is one of the most important players to have ever played in our program.  She is a well-respected team leader who always supports her teammates.  As a player, she has been recognized as on of the top players in the Nation.  In addition to being an amazing member of the soccer program, she is also a great student and currently the Student Body Vice President.  Thank you for the time and effort you have spent and for the lasting mark that you have left on our program and school."

Also on hand to watch Leigha's final regular season game were NHB Board members Jan Engesser and Shereen Walter.
