NHB Night 2015

NHB Night was held this year at the beautiful Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach. NHB was proud to honor two of our graduating seniors with June and George Mitton Memorial Scholarships. Award winners were Kiana Dinsmore and Elisa Aguilar.

Kiana played for NHB for the past five years. Coach Francisco Flores had these thoughts about Kiana:

"There are few applicants who have shown the level of loyalty and dedication equal to what Kiana has shown.‎ She had been a member of NHB since 2010.

Kiana was the consummate team player, putting the needs of the team ahead of her own personal aspirations. She was a joy to coach, and just an all around delight to be around ( which can be directly attributed to her family upbringing ).

Kiana has already signed her National Letter of Intent to attend SOKA University, where she will continue her soccer career. She was spotted by their coaching staff when we participated in the. Las Vegas Players College Showcase last year, and they offered her a substantial soccer and academic scholarship. Congratulations Kiana!"

Elisa played the last three years at NHB under Coach Ben Riddle. Coach Riddle had these words to say about Elisa!

"Elisa is a hard working individual on and off the field. She has a contagious smile and laugh with energy that overflows. Coaching Elisa for over six years has been a pleasure for me, she will be significantly missed by her teammates, but not the opposing strikers. Elisa is a full game player with the speed of a Cheetah, that continues to give 100% at training and during competition. It has been an honor and pleasure being able to have her as a player and a personal family friend. She is an amazing student, driven, has a bright future and comes from a wonderful family"
