NHB moved to the So Cal League (formerly SCDSL) this season so that our teams did not have to travel so far and we could compete against local clubs in our area.
Our two flight 1 teams have had excellent seasons so far and have done very well against our local competition.
Our Boys 2007 team is in 2nd place in Flight 1 Champions Division with a record of 7-2-1. They beat the local Pateadores team 2-1 and tied the Strikers 1-1.
Girls 2008 Black is currently sitting in 3rd place in Flight 1 Europa South Division with a record of 7-2-1 too! They have beaten local clubs Pateadores Irvine 2-1, So Cal Blues 3-0, Pateadores Newport Beach/Costa Mesa 1-0 and CDA Slammers FC 1-0 and 3-2, with a tie against Slammers FC 2-2.
Boys 2011 has a record of 9-1-3 in Flight 2 where no standings are kept. The team tied Pateadores HB 2-2 in October and then came back in November to beat them 5:1.
NHB’s Girls 2008 White in Flight 2 West has a better record than local club CDA Slammers and beat them in head to head competition with a score of 2-1.
So what does all of this mean? Don’t buy the sales job that the neighboring clubs are giving you. Not only is NHB able to outperform our local competition, but we have great coaches, two lit practice and playing fields, and the lowest club fees in the area.
So come check us out at our tryouts on Saturday, January 8th.
