The N.H.B.F.C. Tournament Committee would like to take this opportunity to welcome the players, coaches, referees, parents and friends to our 33rd Annual NHB Cup. In the next few paragraphs, we will explain the special information and rules of our tournament.

In case of a tie at the end of the regulation time period in quarterfinal games, FIFA penalty kicks from the penalty mark will determine the winner. In case of a tie in Semi-final or final games, two 10 minute overtime periods will be played and, if necessary, FIFA kicks from the penalty mark will determine the winner. |

| POINT SYSTEM: |
1. Three points shall be awarded for each win.
2. One point shall be awarded for each tie.
3. Zero points shall be awarded for each loss.
4. If team in group play forfeits, all scores in that group will revert to 1-0 scores. Points accumulated during Saturday games and Sunday morning games will determine the seedings for the quarter-finals. The 1st place team of a group will play the 2nd place team of another group. The winner of this game advances to the Semi-Finals. The winner of the Semi- Final games will advance to the Championship game. In the U9 and U10 age groups, the 3rd and 4th place teams will play a comparable place team. |
| TIE BREAKER: |
Five levels of tie breaking will be employed to resolve ties in standings:
1. Head to Head competition, (in case of a 3 way tie, head to head is never used and move directly to tie breaker number 2).
2. Goal Differential, (Goals scored minus goals allowed. Up to a maximum of a 4 goal differential will be counter per team for each game).
3. Goals scored, (Up to four goals only will be counted per team for each game).
4. Goals allowed, (Up to four goals only will be counted per team for each game).

| SUBSTITUTION: |
CYSA-S State Cup substitution rules will apply. A player receiving a caution (yellow card) may be substituted for at that time. |
TOURNAMENT
REGULATION: |
1. A player shown a straight red card or a double yellow red card will be suspended for the next 2 games.
2. Player cards will be re-checked in the semi-final and final matches.
3. Loan Players: A maximum of 3 loan players will be allowed. You can carry a roster of 22 players for U16-U19 (18 players must be designated for each game), 18 players for U11-U15 and 14 players for U9-U10.
4. Home team is the team listed first. Home team has choice of sideline and must change if the referee determines there is a color conflict of uniforms. |
| DISCIPLINE: |
All player/coach shown a RED CARD will be suspended for the next 2 GAMES (and could be suspended for the remainder of tournament depending on severity of red card). Any attempt to cause physical harm to referees by players, coaches or parents will result in the team being automatically suspended from the tournament. No protests can be made or will be accepted. All games will have a 5 minute grace period; failure to start on time will result in forfeiture. Any players caught in the swimming pools at the high school facilities will immediately be suspended for the remainder of the tournament. |
| AWARD: |
Each player and coach will receive a NHB Tournament Pin, and a program. Trophies will be awarded to the players and coaches of the first and second place teams. |
