NHB Black B9 Captures Finalist Medal in their First Tournament

Coach Stephen Tupy’s NHB Black B9 team won the Finalists medal in their very first tournament, the Swallows Cup. The newly formed team split their pool games to advance to the semi-finals. They defeated the Newport Mesa Whitecaps 2-1 in the semi-finals and lost 2-1 in a very close championship match against the Pateadores.
Playing with only 9 players on the roster the boys played hard and emphasized the passing game Coach Tupy is teaching them. Coach Tupy was very pleased with the team’s play and hustle.
