Monday, NHB welcomed the 18 players, coaches and accompanying parents with a BBQ hosted at the home of Craig Bradford, coach of the U15 Girls FC team. The Kiwi players mingled with the NHB U14 Boys team, coached by Francisco Flores and the U15 Girls and got to enjoy a taco bar, a first for all of them.

Tuesday, the Kiwi's were sent to school for half a day as the special guests of Dwyer Middle School in Huntington Beach, followed by some time at the beach and an evening scrimmage vs a Chivas Academy Team. A late night stop at In-N-Out burger topped off the evening for the boys who had never heard of "Animal Fries" before!

Wednesday morning, the Kiwi's were up early for a 6:30 am surfing lesson provided by the Dwyer Middle School Surf Team members. Each Kiwi was matched with a surf team member, for most of them, their first time on a board. Many of the Kiwi's were able to stand and ride a wave with the help of their new surf "coach". A great time was had by all the boys. Special thanks to the Dwyer Surf Team, their coach - Stacy Wood, Jack Clapp of Dwight's and Dave Clapp of Jack's - who lent the boys all wetsuits, as well as the NHB players and families who lent out surfboards for the Kiwi's to use.

Thursday night the NHB BU14 team scrimmaged the Kiwi's at FV Rec. Center.  NHB pulled off a 2-0 win as players and family members from other NHB teams watched and cheered on both teams.  Congratulations NHB!
