The boys kicked off their first tournament together in the group stage with unwavering determination, proving themselves as formidable contenders right from the start. In their opening match, they played against Fram SC and showcased their attacking prowess and solid defense, emerging victorious with a convincing 2-0 win. Encouraged by their initial triumph, NHBFC B2015/16 continued their winning streak in the group stage, defeating Beach Futbol Club 2-1 in a thrilling encounter, solidifying their spot in the semifinal.

As the tournament progressed, the boys faced a tense semifinal clash against a formidable opponent, Steel United California South Bay. In an intense and closely fought match, neither team could break the deadlock in regular time (3-3), leading to a nail-biting penalty shootout. Displaying nerves of steel, NHBFC B2015/16 held their composure and emerged triumphant with a 4-3 victory in the shootout, sending their supporters into raptures and securing their place in the final.

The final was a highly anticipated match that saw NHBFC B2015/16 locking horns once again with Fram SC. Both teams exhibited tremendous skill and determination on the field, but unfortunately for NHBFC B2015/16, the opponents proved to be a tough nut to crack. Despite a valiant effort and spirited play, the boys fell short in the final, as Fram SC managed to secure a 2-0 victory to claim the championship title.

Though they narrowly missed out on the top spot, the boys showcased exceptional sportsmanship and talent throughout the tournament. Their well-deserved 2nd place finish was a testament to their hard work, teamwork, and dedication.

As the curtains fell on the FC Long Beach Invitational, the boys left an indelible mark on the tournament, leaving everyone excited for what the future holds.
