Cal North teams have been traveling down to Cal South tournaments for the past 30 years and have won a few championships over the years.

This year at the 29th Annual NHB Cup over 50 Cal North teams came to the Cup and beat the Cal South and Arizona teams to walk away with 9 titles of the 19 flights and also had 5 other teams make the championship game.

During pool play on Saturday, NHB tied Cerritos Brigade ( 2-2 ) and beat San Tan Legacy Red (Arizona) by a score of 5 - 0 .
On Sunday, NHB beat Chelsea SC by a score of 4 - 2 to end the bracket play. 

NHB won the semi final game against State National Champions from Arizona, 91 Premier Dragons by a score of 6 - 0.

After an extremely successful Summer tournament season with a third place finish at the Cerritos Memorial Challenge and "Finalist" finishes at the Arsenal Cup, Irvine Summer Classic, and Fullerton Classic, NHB Black GU10 wins the Long Beach Sun and Surf. The Championship game didn't come easy.

The NHB Black BU-13 squad completed a successful preseason tournament this past week after taking 3rd place with a win over Colorado Rush Swoosh by a score of 2-0.

The Pikes Peak Invitational tournament, held from July 19 – 22, was the first preseason tournament for the BU-13 squad. On day one, the boys faced a tenacious opponent from Colorado, PP Rush Swoosh.

The journey to New Zealand started 5 years ago when Sean Dick took over as the teams head coach because the original head coach was being transferred to Germany on business.

Sean recognized the talent on this team and wanted to get them with a club that had a national reputation. He and the boys moved to NHB. And every year the boys got promoted from silver to silver elite, then to gold and finally to premier. The core of the team has stayed together and they act like brothers. They look out for each other on and off the field they have become very close.
